Orange Eschmeyer’s Scorpionfish (Rhinopias eschmeyeri)

The Orange Eschmeyer’s Scorpionfish (Rhinopias eschmeyeri) is a rare fish in the aquarium hobby. This ambush predator, can be found in Southeast Asian waters and has evolved to resemble seaweed to hide from small prey which include fish and crustaceans. Due to their sedentary lifestyle, spacious accommodations are not as important as they would be for more active, open-water-swimming fish. It is possible to wean these fish onto frozen silversides.
