The Green Texas Cichlid (Herichthys carpintis), has been a staple in the aquarium hobby for years well regarded for its spotted turquoise body patterning. They grow large and can be very territorial as adults and tankmates should be chosen carefully if not kept alone or in a pair. They are hardy and easy to keep, feeding on pellet foods.
