Contrary to popular belief, Betta antuta reside in flowing highland streams in the wild rather than swamps or other lowland waters that many other Betta species inhabit. These fish will appreciate an aquarium that has been decorated with plants, driftwood, and leaf litter. Since these fish can jump quite well, a tight-fitting cover is advised. They are not fussy eaters, much like most bettas, and will take most dried foods; nevertheless, a diverse diet that includes some frozen foods is advised.
