Adorned Wrasse (Halichoeres cosmetus)

The Adorned Wrasse (Halichoeres cosmetus) is one of many colorful reef safe wrasses. They inhabit lagoons and sheltered reefs with mixed sand, debris, and coral. They are known to prey upon unwanted invertebrate pests in the aquarium. Keep their adult size around 5″ in mind when adding to the aquarium, smaller invertebrates may get eaten. It is advised to add them to a established aquarium with a fine sandbed so they can bury themselves when they feel the need to seek shelter.
