The Green Bulb or Green Bubble Tip Anemone is a highly sought after host anemone for aquarium Clownfish. These medium sized (up to 12″) rock dwelling anemones do well in most strongly illuminated reef tanks with pristine water quality and regular feeding of meaty foods. Keep in mind, they are very mobile and can easily “walk” into pumps and overflow boxes.

One of the most well-known and sought-after invertebrate species in the saltwater aquarium hobby, the Peacock Mantis Shrimp (Odontodactylus scyllarus) is also known as the Clown Mantis Shrimp, the Harlequin Mantis Shrimp, the Rainbow Mantis Shrimp, or the Smashing Mantis Shrimp. This species is native to the tropical Indo-Pacific. Famous for their hunting strategy, mantis shrimp use their front claws to deliver a powerful blow to their prey. Growing up to 7 inches, they are also covered in elaborate multicolored patterns, adding to their allure. These are aggressive animals that will create and defend their burrows. Peacock Mantis Shrimp will be best kept alone, as they will hunt almost any other species in the tank.

The Tiger Pistol Shrimp (Alpheus bellulus), also known as the Snapping Shrimp or the Symbiotic Shrimp, is native to the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific. Tiger Pistol Shrimp get their name from being able to snap their claws with extreme speed, sending an airbubble and a shock wave towards their prey to hunt. These shrimp are a beautiful and helpful additional to a saltwater setup, as they will sift through your sandy substrate to hunt and create a interesting symbiotic relationship with any gobies.
