Tahitian Maxima Clam (Tridacna maxima)

The Tahitian Maxima Clam (Tridacna maxima), or the small giant clam, is in high demand among aquarists due to their bright coloration and reasonable size in comparison to the true giant clam. These filter-feeding clams require high-light environments for their photosynthetic zooxanthellae.
