The Gold Honey Gourami (Trichogaster chuna) is a smaller species of Gourami originating from India and often confused with the Thick Lipped Gourami (Trichogaster labiosa). Both species are commercially farmed and sometimes hybridized. They can range from red to orange and yellow in coloration. Honey Gourami do best in aquariums with lower flow rates and plenty of cover like plants providing shady areas to reside.
