The Giant Sword Minnow (Macrochirichthys macrochirus) is an unusual predator found throughout Asia’s rivers and lakes where they will opportunistically move into floodplains in search of food. These fish are very flighty and easily startled. They should have a well sealing aquarium lid and plenty of space to swim freely. They are best kept in groups of 3 or more and are compatible with fish too large to be eaten.
