$6.99

An attractive, uncommonly imported small tetra found throughout the lower Amazon and its tributaries in Eastern Brazil, the Flag Tetra or Tricolor Flag Tetra typically inhabits shallow, slow-moving creeks or flooded forest area in stretches of acidic, tannin stained waters. Like most tetras its size, it is a schooling fish and is usually found in large groups in the wild. In the aquarium, the Flag Tetra is hardy and adaptable, but will display its best coloration in warm, softer water and should be kept in groups of at least 5.
