The Black Band or Zygatus Cory (Osteogaster zygatus) is found in white and clear water streams in several upper Amazon Tributaries in Peru, Colombia, and possibly Ecuador. An attractive and active species, they are a deservedly popular Cory in the hobby. Like most of their relatives, they are peaceful, hardy, and best kept in groups due to their schooling nature.
