Viviparus malleattus

The Japanese Trapdoor Snail (Viviparus malleattus) is an insatiable scavenger, sure to help keep algae at bay. These snails have a charismatic large whorl to their shell, varying in color anywhere from dark olive green to light tans. Snacking on fallen organic matter, they are notably hardy and can thrive in a variety of water conditions.
