platinum ripsaw catfish

A medium sized Doradid Catfish found throughout much of the Amazon and its tributaries, the Platinum Centrodoras or Silver Centrodoras Catfish is named for its distinctive silvery white coloration and can be found in a wide variety of habitat types in the wild. Like most of its close relatives, it is a relatively peaceful species that will get along with nearly any tankmates provided they are large enough not to be eaten. In the aquarium, this catfish is hardy and undemanding but it is an active and powerful swimmer (especially at night) and should be provided with plenty of open swimming space and moderate to strong current.
