Price range: $27.49 through $149.99One of the largest and most impressive plecos, Acanthicus adonis is found throughout much of the middle Amazon and Tocantins river basins in South America. With their heavy armor, sharp spines, and huge adult size, this pleco is a true monster fish and adults are suitable only for the largest aquariums. They are slow growers however, often taking years to reach a significant size.
