Native to the tropical reefs of the Indo-Pacific, the Carpenter’s Flasher Wrasse (Paracheilinus carpenteri), also known as the Fairy Wrasse or the Redfin Flasher Wrasse, is a peaceful reef-safe species. With striking patterns of oranges, yellows, reds, and blues, these fish are a beautiful addition to your saltwater setup. They will do well in groups, and males will display their most vibrant coloration in the company of females. Reaching up to 3 inches long with a generally active personality, these fish will do best in tanks that are 55 gallons or larger with plenty of live rock and a tight-fitting lid.

Native to the seas around Indonesia, the Lubbock’s Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus lubbocki), also known as the Multicolored Lubbock’s Fairy Wrasse or the Lubbock’s Fairy Wrasse, is one of the most popular fairy wrasses for aquarists. These strikingly colorful fish tend to be brighter as males, especially during courting! Reaching a max size of 3.5 inches/8.9 cm, Lubbock’s Wrasse are peaceful and will do well in either a fish-only or a reef tank.
