Price range: $23.99 through $29.99A stunningly marked and rarely seen dwarf cichlid, the Spadetail Checkerboard Cichlid grows slightly larger and displays more intense adult coloration than its more well known relative the common Checkerboard Cichlid (Dicrossus filamentosus). Found in the clearwater Tapajos as well as some surrounding Amazon tributaries, this dwarf cichlid will do best in an aquarium with ample cover in the form of driftwood, live or artificial plants, or other decor.
