Taiwan Purple Crystal Shrimp (Potamalpheops sp.)

The Taiwan Purple Crystal Shrimp is a beautifully marked wild strain of Potamalpheops found in shallow streams and creeks in Southeastern Taiwan. Rarely seen in the hobby, this dwarf shrimp features distinctive purple banding with vivid green behind the head. A hardy and adaptable species, they will do well in a variety of conditions and will tolerate lower temperatures as they are found in subtropical waters that undergo seasonal temperature fluctuations.
