Originating from the Indo-Pacific this fish settles in the clear coastal and outer reef habitats where it feeds on an assortment of invertebrates such as sea urchins, crabs, and mollusks. Considered a solitary fish it can be aggressive toward other fish and is not recommended to be kept with smaller fish. It will consume any invertebrates present in the tank along with small fish.
